Camp Quest, Inc. is a national organization that serves local independent member organizations (Camp Quest “affiliates”, “camps”, or “programs”). Together Camp Quest, Inc. and Camp Quest affiliates are the nation's largest network of secular youth organizations dedicated to providing children an educational adventure shaped by fun, friends, and freethought, featuring science, natural wonder and humanist values.
Camp Quest, Inc. believes in safeguarding personal information and ensuring that privacy is respected and protected for donors, families, volunteers, alumni and vendors.
SECTION 1 - PERSONAL INFORMATION & CONSENT
We use personal information to keep donors, families, volunteers, alumni and vendors informed of our activities including our programs, special events and funding needs.
When you use this site for any purpose, such as to access information about our camps, register for an event, make a donation, or purchase something from our online store, as part of the sign-up, registration, donating, buying and selling processes, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, and email address. We may send you information about Camp Quest using the contact information you provide, including sending mail, emails, and phone calls.
When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
When you provide us with personal information, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for the purposes for which it was collected. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of secondary communication.

SECTION 2 - DONOR INFORMATION
Donors who provide their contact information in the process of making a donation to Camp Quest, Inc. agree to receive communication from Camp Quest, Inc. and our donation processing providers regarding their donations and giving history, unless the donor specifically requests not to receive any form of donation acknowledgement or receipt. While Camp Quest, Inc. will strive to provide donors with timely gift acknowledgements, donors are responsible for requesting tax receipts for their donations.
Donors who provide personal information, including their address and email address, consent to receiving mail and electronic communication about their donations and other Camp Quest programs, events, and funding needs. We will provide an opt-out procedure for donors and others who receive such materials to request that their names be removed from similar mailings, phone calls, or electronic communications in the future. Individual donors may request to remain anonymous for the purposes of public acknowledgements.
If an individual requests that their personal information be shared with a Camp Quest affiliate then Camp Quest, Inc. will comply with their wishes. If an individual makes a contribution designated for a Camp Quest affiliate, then Camp Quest, Inc. may share their personal information and donation information with that affiliate.

SECTION 5 - SHOPIFY
Our online store is hosted on Shopify, Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 6 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. SECTION 7 - SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us or our payment providers with your credit card information, the information is encrypted. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow generally accepted industry standards for data storage and security.
